Sharon has an extensive history of volunteering and community engagement including being the first woman to serve a complete term as Chairperson of the Ottawa Carleton Board of Trade, as well as chairing the Education Committee of the Board. Multi-year participation on the board of the Salvation Army Grace Hospital as well as many arts group boards in the City including Arts Court Board. The Canada Post Stamp committee, as well as the Airport Authority board.
